ROBOT COMBAT PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This policy explains what data SpaceOut Games ("we", "us") collects when you play Robot Combat on Meta Quest, how we use it, who processes it on our behalf, and how you can exercise your rights. It applies only to the Robot Combat app. Our websites and other games are covered by the SpaceOut Games Privacy Policy at https://www.spaceoutgames.com/privacy-policy.
1. Who we are
Robot Combat is operated by SpaceOut Games Inc, Maebongsan-ro 31, 8th Floor, A1, Seoul, Seoul, 03909, South Korea.
Contact: business@spaceoutgames.com.
2. Data we receive from Meta
When you sign in on a Meta Quest headset, we receive the following through the Meta Platform SDK with your permission:
- Meta user ID: used to identify your game account and to let your opponent load your avatar during a match.
- Meta display name: shown to your opponent, on match screens, and on leaderboards.
- Meta Avatar: rendered as your pilot in the arena by the Meta Avatars SDK. We do not store avatar data.
We do not receive your email address, friends list, or payment details from Meta.
3. Data we create while you play
- Game account data: a game account keyed by your Meta user ID, owned parts, saved robot presets, in-game currency balances (Bolts, Spark).
- Match data: results, trophies, league, a hidden matchmaking rating, level and experience, season records.
- Purchase records: for Spark packs bought through the Meta Quest Store, we keep the Meta purchase ID, product SKU, and processing status to grant the purchase once and resolve billing issues.
- Support records: messages you send us and the account information needed to answer them.
4. Device data
- Microphone: used for voice chat with your opponent during a match. Audio is transmitted in real time and is not recorded or stored.
- Headset and hand tracking: used to animate your avatar and detect idle robots. Pose data is transmitted to your opponent in real time and is not stored.
- Passthrough camera: used only on your device for mixed reality mode. Camera imagery never leaves your headset.
5. How we use the data
To run matches and matchmaking, show opponents and leaderboards, save your robots and inventory, process Spark pack purchases, provide customer support, keep the game stable, and understand how the game is played through aggregated analytics. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
6. Service providers
We use the following providers, who process data only on our instructions:
- Microsoft Corporation, Azure PlayFab (United States): hosts game accounts, inventory, match results, leaderboards, and purchase records.
- Exit Games GmbH, Photon Fusion and Photon Voice (South Korea, United States, Germany): connects online matches and relays voice chat and avatar pose between players in real time. Nothing is stored.
- Unity Technologies, Unity Gaming Services (United States): analytics and crash reporting using a hashed account identifier, device model, and gameplay metrics. Raw Meta IDs and names are never sent.
We share data with public authorities only when legally required, after reviewing the request.
7. Retention and deletion
Game account data is kept while your account is active and deleted when you ask us to delete it. Purchase records are kept as long as needed to resolve billing issues and meet legal obligations. Voice chat and tracking data are never retained. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data. Email business@spaceoutgames.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and the Meta account name you play with. We respond without undue delay. Deleting your data removes your robots, inventory, records, and purchase history from the game.
9. Children
Robot Combat is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. Meta account age requirements apply.
10. Changes
We will post changes on this page and update the date above.
